Paul Supramaniam is a Senior Equity Partner of Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP, Asian Regional Head and Managing Partner of the firm’s Singapore office. He sits on the Firm’s International Strategy Committee and is a member of the firm’s Corporate Department. He has led numerous cross border mergers and acquisitions, capital market transactions, privatizations, joint ventures and private equity investments in several Asian jurisdictions including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Philippines and Sri Lanka.
Paul is ranked in “International Who’s Who Legal” as a leading M&A lawyer, in Chambers Global 2007 as an M&A “leading expert” in South East Asia and listed in “Asia Pacific Legal 500” as one of the leading corporate lawyers based in Singapore.
Paul sits on the Singapore British Business Council, the Middle East Advisory Council of the Singapore Business Federation and on the Boards of the Singapore Lyric Opera, the British Chamber of Commerce and the Steering Committee of the National Art Gallery. He is a former President of the Singapore United Kingdom Association, a former Executive Committee member of the Singapore India Development Agency (SINDA) and was formerly on the Boards of the Asian Civilisations Museum, Save The Children Singapore and the Judicial Court for the Anglican Province of South East Asia. He is also a Senior Officer in the Singapore Armed Forces.
Paul was a Wright Rogers Law Scholar at the University of Cambridge.
Paul is qualified to practice in the Supreme Court of England and Wales. He speaks Bahasa Indonesia, Malay and Tamil.
