Our Real Estate Finance team is one of the leading specialist finance teams in the UK.
As a core part of our finance practice, we act for banks, building societies, institutional funders, mezzanine funders, equity funders, grant funders, housing associations, investors and the public sector. In the past year, we have advised on transactions totalling more than £10bn.
We advise lenders and borrowers in relation to the structuring of finance for real estate and real estate-related businesses. We have an in-depth knowledge of the specific and distinct requirements of both our lending and borrowing clients. The range of work and experience is extensive, and includes 'plain vanilla' real estate lending and borrowing for investment properties and portfolios, development finance, the private finance initiative and public private partnership funding, tax-based and structured financing and property securitisation.
We also work with the firm's major real estate and corporate clients on financing issues.
Each member of the Real Estate Finance team has chosen to specialise in this area, combining banking skills with a detailed knowledge of real estate and a working knowledge of construction, tax and corporate issues.
