PFI (Private Finance Initiative) & PPP (Public Private Partnerships) touches most parts of the economy in some form. Most major public development projects now involve a collaboration of government and private funding or expertise. We have been involved in PFI & PPP from the outset, acting for the public and private sector on a number of projects across all sectors, in particular, on hospitals and health, schools, university accommodation, defence, local government, roads and infrastructure.
We have also been at the heart of many of the flagship pathfinder projects brought forward under this initiative, including acting for H M Treasury in the refurbishment of the Treasury Building in Whitehall (GOGGS project), the Home Office for the reprovision of its HQ buildings, Newcastle Estates Partnership, the project vehicle providing accommodation across the Longbenton Estate (near Newcastle) and the United Kingdom MoD’s Strategic Sealift Project.
