Members of the Islamic finance team have a wide range of experience in Islamic finance techniques. We use the expertise of the team members in Islamic finance as well as conventional banking, asset and project finance to resolve the complexities involved in structuring transactions and products that meet both Sharia and conventional banking requirements.  To this end, we have extensive experience of working closely with Sharia committees.

We advise on the preparation of standard form documentation for:

We also advise on structuring and documenting complex structured financings including

• Islamic tranches of project financings
• Structured Ijara transactions
• Istisnaa transactions
• Ijara, Mousharaka and Murabaha structures for both home and commercial mortgages

Members of the team have represented a number of Islamic and non-Islamic financial institutions, including several major Islamic banks acting alone or as lead arranger and Mudarib in syndicated structures, in the structuring of many Islamic financial products and the application of the Sharia for the following types of financing:
