We advise on corporate, partnership and trust structures for hedge funds and funds-of-funds, and provide fund sponsors with an integrated legal service focused on their long term needs.

We have worked extensively with a wide variety of open and closed ended structures, including exempt Cayman Island vehicles, Irish unit trusts and Delaware limited partnerships and limited liability companies. We are also experienced in dealing with master-feeder funds, parallel funds and fund-of-fund structures.

We assist with the legal and regularity aspects of selecting an appropriate jurisdiction and obtaining any necessary regulatory clearances. Through our involvement in a dedicated funds network of leading international law firms, we advise on tax structuring in relation to all of the established jurisdictions.

Our partners have experience in advising both start-up hedge fund managers launching their first fund as well as traditional investment management houses expanding their product range to include alternative investment vehicles.

In addition to fund sponsors, our clients include investors, distributors and other service providers. We regularly advise on distribution, valuation and redemption procedures and arrangements for safe custody, prime brokerage and administration. We are also frequently involved in the restructuring of funds and related investment management business. More recently there has been a trend towards the liquidation or "privatization" of European managed funds and we have been involved in all aspects of these transactions.
