Our insurance and reinsurance team deals with dispute resolution, arbitration, litigation, commercial and corporate insurance and reinsurance work, acting for insurers, reinsurers, brokers, agents and intermediaries.
The team acts for some of the largest insurers and reinsurers in the world. Clients are often required to respond quickly to unprecedented events, including acts of terrorism and natural disasters. Through understanding the reinsurance and insurance market and developing strong client relationships, including a knowledge of how their businesses operate, the team is able to respond efficiently with practical advice and assistance. The team always strives to exceed clients’ expectations.
The team has substantial experience of major UK and international insurance and reinsurance arbitration and litigation, in all classes of business and insurance and reinsurance insolvency and commutations. Partners in the team also accept appointment as Reinsurance Arbitrators.
In corporate and commercial work, our areas of practice include regulatory and compliance work, drafting policy and treaty wordings, agency, pool, run off and management agreements and the formation, acquisition, disposal and reorganisation of insurance companies, brokers, agents and captives.
