Recent and anticipated changes to the laws affecting health and safety at work ensure that never before have employers been faced with so many responsibilities relating to the welfare of employees in the working environment. Our regulatory group is recognised in the major legal directories as leaders in Health and Safety, and has particular expertise in relation to health and safety compliance issues.
The team advise in relation to corporate liability, safety protocols and defence strategies. We advise directors on their health & safety obligations and how to devise strategies to meet the responsibilities and minimise liability. We also identify practical solutions to assist technical managers with risk assessment, protocols, CDM requirements and accident investigations. We are frequently asked to review health and safety manuals, guidance notes, technical advisory bulletins and third party accreditation protocols.
We regularly deal with investigations by the Health and Safety Executive and local authorities. In particular we have enjoyed success in defending clients and proceedings bought before the Courts for fatal accidents.

We have significant expertise in relation to fire precautions. We not only advise clients generally as to the requirements of the legislation but also provide practical advice on the implementation of systems and procedures to comply with the legislation.
