Data Protection

Complying with a complex and evolving area of law such as data protection has become a challenging management issue.

Any organisation using or storing customer records in operation of the business is subject to data protection legislation. In particular, all businesses need to comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act, which became effective in the UK on 1 March 2000. Our privacy specialists are experienced in advising clients in all aspects of data protection particularly those operating in a number of jurisdictions and those involved in e-commerce.

If you are interested in data protection issues, you may be interested in our e-brief service. e-brief consists of periodic emails highlighting current legal issues on a range of subjects and is free of charge to anyone wishing to subscribe. Please visit our sign-up page for more information.
